We were on a trip to Carson City to go pick up a Landcruiser for my dad's business. On the way back we stopped to have a bite to eat but didn't think anything of it. All that was there was a sign and a strip of concrete. To our surprise, we had stumbled on the oldest concrete road in California. Obviously they had changed it out so the only part left was this landmark, but non the less it was the oldest concrete road. It was actually very interesting. Towards the middle there were chunks of the road that had been broken off so we picked a few up to bring home. For such an inconspicuous place, it was actually very, very cool.
